Sixth Form Schools Southampton
If you have completed Year 11 and have taken your GCSEs, you may be thinking of staying on at school to continue your education. Remaining at the same school will give you the security of staying in a familiar environment with the teachers and tutors that you already know. However, you will probably notice that the atmosphere changes; school sixth forms tend to be more relaxed towards students.

School Sixth Forms If you have completed Year 11 and have taken your GCSEs, you may be thinking of staying on at school to continue your education. Remaining at the same school will give you the security of staying in a familiar environment with the teachers and tutors that you already know. However, you will probably notice that the atmosphere changes; school sixth forms tend to be more relaxed towards students. Courses If you stay on in a school sixth form you will normally be given the option to take AS subjects in your first year and then make a choice on the subjects you want to take at A level in your second year. However, many schools now also offer a range of other courses such as GNVQs . The subjects and courses on offer will depend on the size of the sixth form; you may want to consider transferring to a different school if your current school doesn't offer you the choices you are interested in. Some schools may have arrangements with other local schools or colleges to enable them to offer you a wider choice and more options. |
